“I am using Embracing Early Reading with my daughter and I can't believe the progress she is making in reading! She is so excited to read and is “really” reading. It's fun for both of us because I know what to do to help her and she is enjoying it.” -parent of K child |

“I was a first teacher before I had my kids...Not only do I love Embracing Early Reading for my own three children, but I wish I had this when I taught first grade!” -parent of first grade child and twin preschoolers (and former 1st grade teacher) |

“...Ellen is so excited about reading! She feels so successful (and I feel so successful that I KNOW what to do to really support her)! -parent of a kindergarten child |

“Embracing Early Reading helps the child develop the thought process of what the book is trying to express to them. From the picture walk before reading, to the prompts to say when they are reading, to the questions to ask them after reading- Embracing Early Reading really supports the child in truly “reading” the story. Children are taught to read using strategies and not rules. The word work activities help the child to understand the way that words work. With Embracing Early Reading, I am really able to help the child read- I know what to do!” -parent volunteer using EER to support reading instruction |

“This year I used the Embracing Early Reading Guided Reading sets in my classroom. I just wanted to tell you what a WONDERFUL system you have! I was better able to understand what each child needed and what was appropriate for the level that they were at! The kids in my class made the most progress in reading this year than any other year because of your system! Hopefully our district will adopt Embracing Early Reading as a supplement for all of our primary teachers!” -K teacher |

“I just wanted to tell you how thankful I am for your curriculum. I told my son, Logan, that I was so excited about getting him started in reading through a new set of books. Immediately, he wanted to start. So, at 9:00 pm last night I got out a book and told him we could read through one. He read through it (of course, after I gave him cues listed on your text support card.) He was so excited that he read a book 'all by himself'. So, I asked him if he wanted to read it again. He enthusiastically said, 'yes.' This time he did read it all by himself. Then he wanted to read another and another and another and after 4 books, I said, it is time for bed, we will read some more tomorrow. This morning, he woke up and said, 'Can I read another book now?' Talk about excitement from him and relief for me! -home school parent using EER with her son |

“Embracing Early Reading has been extremely beneficial to me and my family. Before we started using this system, my wife and I would become extremely frustrated with our son and make matters worse. Once we started the program, we found our son reading at a much higher level and sooner than we expected. Now our evenings are spent reading closer to the level he should be at instead of constant bickering about why he could not read what was expected. I fully support this system and think that every parent could benefit from using it.” -parent of 2nd grade child |

“I taught my two older children through traditional reading programs. They learned to read the words on a page, but have struggled with comprehension. After talking to you and learning about what it means to really “read” I am so blessed to have Embracing Early Reading to teach my youngest to read. She is not only learning how to (as you and Embracing Early Reading has taught me) decode the words, but is learning strategies to comprehend! WOW! I will definitely share this with other homeschool parents that I know!... Thank you!” -home school parent using EER with her 5 year old daughter. |

“Just when I thought that I knew the “right” way to teach my children how to read, I discovered the wonderful product, “Embracing Early Reading”. When I was trying to teach my 4 year old daughter how to read, it was often difficult to find “just right” books for her. In this very easy to use color-coded system, finding the book that fit her reading level was extremely simple. Also, my daughter really enjoyed the books, so now she begs to “read just one more”! The best part of the Embracing Early Reading Support System are the text support cards that accompany each book. As a parent, I found them extremely helpful because each page was a wonderful tool for me to use with my daughter to truly support her reading. It provided various questions to ask her before reading the book, insightful ways to guide her if she had difficulty while reading, and even post reading activities for comprehension. My favorite, though, had to be the “Word Work” section. Each text support card lists various word work activities that I could do with my daughter, which was another fun way for her to strengthen her reading in a “hands-on” format. I would highly recommend Embracing Early Reading to any parent who wants the “perfect tool” to help their child learn to read, especially in a way that is FUN! -parent of preschool child |
